Smooth Skin SOS – Mio Heavenly Body Purifying Scrub
[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Another improved blend from Mio – this time in the form of Heavenly Body Purifying Scrub which is easily one of my favourites (I think originally, back in the day, it was called Double Buff). It’s too expensive, I think, at £25, but is very effective.
The secret really is the fine grain salt that’s more manageable than sugar grains which tend to be a bit larger. You get a good scrub from quite a small amount applied to damp skin – about a heaped teaspoon should do tops of legs and arms which tend to be the trouble spots. It’s infused with eucaplytus so you get a nicely bracing sport rub effect from it. Combined with almond and coconut oils, it really does work. Without a doubt, your skin will feel noticeably smoother and more silky.
I guess the ideal would be to immediately climb into a bath of Liquid Yoga after exfoliating and then any lovely body oil you happen to have – it’s like a body revamp and your skin will reap the benefits longer term if you get into a routine. Don’t put it on dry skin – it’s tempting because its such a fine blend – it really needs just a tiny bit of moisture to get the best of it and don’t do what I always used to do which is try to use it in the bath because then your skin is a bit too wet for it be as effective as possible. You really need to do it as a pre-bath or shower treatment to get the best of it. There is an offer on Look Fantastic where I’m sending you for a free mini Clay Away Cleanser with this. Find it HERE, non affiliate HERE. I love this stuff – definitely a go-to for the bumpy skin I have on and off and combined with Ameliorate works a treat.
